Starstrike Info

Starstrike is a game of futuristic war. The human race has come up against a powerful race of aliens who can gestate into a variety of different lifeforms at will. These shapeshifting aliens are a tremendous foe - one for one any of the various alien types can tromp all over an inexperienced Marine. Be careful when facing the aliens.

Starstrike is a Real Time Strategy Game (like Command & Conquer or Warcraft). Matches are played on interior maps, on the decks of a ship adrift in space, its crew killed by the alien infestation. On most maps and gametypes a squad of Marines faces off against a brood of Aliens somewhere on the dead ship, but support for Marine-vs-Marine and Alien-vs-Alien maps and gametypes exists. Each side constructs a base position or Hive cluster on the decks of the ship and expands to different locations of the map, building forward positions and researching technologies or evolving traits and abilities to become stronger and stronger, and eventually step into each other's territory, where conflict ensues. The objective of the game is to capture as much territory as possible and wipe out the enemy.

Each side collects resources from resource nodes scattered throughout the map by building structures on and around them, and use these resources to construct other base structures, perform research, evolve traits and abilities or gestate into stronger lifeforms. The Marines use their resources also to equip their soldiers with bigger and better weapons and armour, while the Aliens use their resources to mutate into different life forms depending on their particular requirements. More resources mean faster development and a more powerful side, resulting in a power struggle for domination of the scattered resource points. Each resource point is likely to change hands several times during the course of the battle.

Eventually the battle will intensify and one side will completely eradicate the other, emerging victorious... unless there is more than one enemy force present on the ship...

Our lead developer Agent is working on the backstory for the game as well as a work of fiction set in the world of Starstrike. Stay tuned for developments!
